In the title above, it is a 2 in subscript H2o a chemical symbol of water. An amazing element of all the five is water. I have developed a strong relation with the element, and also reflect many of its qualities. Water does not have a consistent shape, you put it in a round vessel it will seem to be round, put it in square vessel, it will be square. No consistency of shape. A great ability to adjust in its environment. Just so smoothly, it gets into where it is.

Well, I too have a quality of being inconsistent, good adjusting qualities but still the similarity between water and me is the inconsistency.

Many forms are the attributions of water, you may find it calm quite as symbol of profound peace or as roaring and dashing thorough large boulders as a symbol of energy and passion. As I always feel when I have a look at the Ganges, the portions where water is fiercely gushing making way to its forward journey, a journey that ends with the union with the sea.

Water is a symbol of purification and healing. Purification rites cannot be complete without the presence of holy water. In many parts, keeping a picture of water in a room is regarded inauspicious. It all depends on the form of water. A picture depicting fierceness of water like a violent waterfall or seawater  furiously hitting the boulders nearby is big NO to keep in bedroom.  A bedroom can actually do without a picture of water. A beautiful calm peaceful picture of a lake can be placed in the drawing room or in your meditation and prayer room. Before keeping any picture in your house have a look at it for few moments and try to understand the interpretation of your mind and heart for the picture. Go for the first instinct which generally in most correct one. Water painting are very beautiful to look at and radiate tranquility when depicted as a serene lake.

Water is also a symbol for fertility in many religions. The symbolism of water depends on its depiction.

Let your heart reveal the secret!

“Empty your cup”  is advice given to spiritual seekers

Empty your cup!

Empty your cup!

It reminds me of a story. Years ago a very learned warrior went to a Zen master and asked him to teach Zen. The Zen master agreed and said ” Would you like a cup of tea before we begin?” The warrior agreed and the monk went away to prepare tea and came back with a tea pot and two cups. He placed the cups on the table and started pouring tea in one of the cup, the cup got filled till the brim but the master did not stop pouring into the cup and the tea started overflowing. It spilled all over. The warrior could not resist and said “What are you doing? The cup is already full” The Zen master stopped at once, smiled and said” The cup is the symbol of your mind. You had come to me with a full mind, there was no place to receive anything new. You have to be empty to receive something new. As the already full cup wont accept any more tea in the same way your mind will not accept any new wisdom.”

An cup is a symbol of mind and heart. Not only for learners but everyone of us, have to become like a empty cup. If our mind is full of judgments and beliefs regarding another person, we may never be able to build a strong relation. As you open up you receive more value for people around.Becoming an empty cup is symbolic to the state of your being, its not of meditating purposes or literally using it as symbol.

An empty cup symbolizes hunger, hungry families, malnutrition and disease. While an full cup symbolizes fullness health and strong fulfilled families. So what is there in your cup?

How do you wish to fill your cup? With riches, money, gold or with grains, food and bread or with wisdom or with water for spiritual fulfillment.

I would like to add a word of caution here. Organisations related to catering business and restaurants should not use cup and saucer as a symbol. Empty cup pictures should not be placed in kitchens or drawing rooms.

Dreaming a full cup represents your good spiritual growth while an empty one shows some neglect on your side.

Aura is our energy field surrounding us. You can know more about it here. Our pattern, vibrations and hues of our aura has a lot to tell about our physical and mental state. But are we the only ones affecting our aura?

Aura is a vibrating energy field which comes in contact with many different types of energies; negative or positive. There are many people, situations and things around us that may not have nice impact on our aura. We may feel that in presence of certain people makes us feel low and dull. While traveling in a public transport or in a any crowded area there are many people surrounding us. Our energy field comes in contact with the energy field of different people. Now, the other energy fields may be harmonizing and may be not.

We feel tired after going in a crowded place although we have not done anything. It is because of there are some ‘Energy suckers’. Energy suckers are people who knowingly or unknowingly suck energy from your energy field and you may not get aware, just feel tired and dull. Have ever come across anyone like that. It is quite possible that the other person may not be much aware of this state of his. But you need to protect your energy field. You can feel the difference the very first day by locking your aura.

The best time to lock your aura is in the morning. As you get up, stand up and close your eyes, keeping the palms facing outward. First step is to cleanse your aura. Close your eyes and feel white pure healing light coming from above and feel it going through your aura. As it passes through your aura, your aura also gets bright and clean. Let the light enter in to earth. After a min or two of cleansing, slowly move your palms from toe to up, as your both palms reach the top, make a knot. repeat it by placing your hands in side and than back taking care to cover all your sides. Every time your hands reach at the top, tie a knot. Your aura is now locked and protected. Have faith that no negative energies will affect you. All the best !

Have you known how your inner self talks to you? It craves to talk to you and has been shouting and we fail to listen and alas it stops all together. It is the sound of your inner being. There are physical sounds which are the ones which we are listening every day. But these are the sounds which are more than the physical sounds, the sounds which come from the universe. The sounds generate in our inner deeper self. They are not heard by our physical ears but with our inner ears. Why are we not able to listen to those guiding inner voices always?

Its just because we are never aware of them. We have forgotten to pay attention and become aware of them. I say ‘forgotten’ because it is always not so. We have not born as the completely ignorant being as we have become today.  As we start paying attention to what universe wants to share with us, and what does our inner being crave to share we open new adventures in our life. Life can be lived only when there is a adventure and through out the journey we are feeling more and more alive with each step. The voices take us to a new adventure in life, lead you to a path for which you have took birth.

Just close your eyes and give some time to your self. Sit in complete silence. The first stage is when you will get more and more aware of the physical noise and slowly as you dwell in silence, your inner self will talk to yourself. may be for the first time! Before entering the meditation, make an intent to listen to your inner being. Happy adventure!!
