In the title above, it is a 2 in subscript H2o a chemical symbol of water. An amazing element of all the five is water. I have developed a strong relation with the element, and also reflect many of its qualities. Water does not have a consistent shape, you put it in a round vessel it will seem to be round, put it in square vessel, it will be square. No consistency of shape. A great ability to adjust in its environment. Just so smoothly, it gets into where it is.
Well, I too have a quality of being inconsistent, good adjusting qualities but still the similarity between water and me is the inconsistency.
Many forms are the attributions of water, you may find it calm quite as symbol of profound peace or as roaring and dashing thorough large boulders as a symbol of energy and passion. As I always feel when I have a look at the Ganges, the portions where water is fiercely gushing making way to its forward journey, a journey that ends with the union with the sea.
Water is a symbol of purification and healing. Purification rites cannot be complete without the presence of holy water. In many parts, keeping a picture of water in a room is regarded inauspicious. It all depends on the form of water. A picture depicting fierceness of water like a violent waterfall or seawater furiously hitting the boulders nearby is big NO to keep in bedroom. A bedroom can actually do without a picture of water. A beautiful calm peaceful picture of a lake can be placed in the drawing room or in your meditation and prayer room. Before keeping any picture in your house have a look at it for few moments and try to understand the interpretation of your mind and heart for the picture. Go for the first instinct which generally in most correct one. Water painting are very beautiful to look at and radiate tranquility when depicted as a serene lake.
Water is also a symbol for fertility in many religions. The symbolism of water depends on its depiction.
